Slugtown is a not-for-profit art gallery, and Community Interest Company based in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK.

Slugtown Store offers limited edition prints, merch, artist originals and much more. By supporting us, you will be helping artists, and to deliver our programme of exhibitions and workshops!

We work with the best emerging and early career artists from across the UK to produce ambitious and diverse exhibitions. Artists we have worked with before include Rosie McGinn, Harley Kuyck-Cohen, Rosie Vohra, Sofía Clausse, Fern O’Carolan, and Ki Yoong. 

In summer 2022 we launched SlugClub – a free art club for young people in Shieldfield.

We produce monthly riso-printed activity zines with fun and surreal tasks, and a larger centrefold activity created by professional artists.  The club is designed to build confidence, and to encourage fun, playful engagement with contemporary art and making!
